The shouldered basket-and-lid silhouette of a rice kratib, worked in dark bamboo caged behind pale rattan uprights so the two tones read as a single pattern rather than as trim. A turned black finial and a long gold tassel finish the lid, and the whole thing stands on a squared black foot that keeps it clear of the surface.
Handwoven by artisans in Northern Thailand from natural fibres. Because each piece is shaped by hand, slight variations in weave, tone, and form are natural — the mark of genuine craft, not a flaw.
