A bell that widens from a narrow woven cap into an open diamond lattice, so most of the shade is holes. Lit, it throws the pattern onto the ceiling and the walls as much as onto the table. The cap is worked tight to hold the shape, which is what keeps the lattice from collapsing inward.

Handwoven by artisans in Northern Thailand from natural fibres. Because each piece is shaped by hand, slight variations in weave, tone, and form are natural — the mark of genuine craft, not a flaw.
