Natural rope wound in tight horizontal coils around a drum frame, with a plain pale cushion set into the top. The rope is the surface and the structure both, and it takes on a polish where it gets sat on. Heavier than it looks, which is what keeps it still.

Handwoven by artisans in Northern Thailand from natural fibres. Because each piece is shaped by hand, slight variations in weave, tone, and form are natural — the mark of genuine craft, not a flaw.
