Two drums, a wide one above and a narrower one below, both in a tight weave that lets almost no light through the sides. What you get is a clean disc of light straight down, which is why this shape suits a dining table better than a room. The double tier gives it depth from across the room.

Handwoven by artisans in Northern Thailand from natural fibres. Because each piece is shaped by hand, slight variations in weave, tone, and form are natural — the mark of genuine craft, not a flaw.
