A tall cage of open vertical staves, held by rings at the top and bottom and hung on a chain. There is no shade in the usual sense — the bulb is visible through the staves and the cage draws vertical lines of shadow up the walls around it.

Handwoven by artisans in Northern Thailand from natural fibres. Because each piece is shaped by hand, slight variations in weave, tone, and form are natural — the mark of genuine craft, not a flaw.
