A round coffee-dipped vase at 24 by 23 cm — as wide as it is tall, with the pigment wrapping the lower body. On a round form the dip line becomes a curve rather than a straight edge, and because the wood takes the wash unevenly it never closes as a clean circle. That open, wavering line is the piece. Wide enough to take a full arrangement rather than a few stems.
