Carved ridges wind diagonally around the base, each one cut back into the next, so the body seems to twist as you walk past. The mango wood is left pale and unstained, and the shadows in each cut do all the work. A cream shade with a plain, smooth surface sits on top as a quiet counterweight to that movement.
