Chip-Carved Low Planter

Low and wide, this mango wood planter has straight sides covered in broad chip-carved facets that meet at soft ridges, like the face of quarried stone. The surface is pale, almost cream, with a faint chalky bloom in places and small pores scattered across the facets. It reads as solid and grounded, something to set at floor level or at the end of a long table.
