Chip-Carved Zigzag-Rim Vase

Nowhere on this vase is left smooth: short scooped facets, laid edge to edge, cover the body from the narrow foot to the rim. At the top the cuts break through into a ring of uneven points, so the mouth ends in a ragged crown instead of a level edge. Pale mango wood, left natural, with the grain visible through each facet.

Every piece is made by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Yours will follow the design you see here, with small differences in shape, colour and texture that make it one of a kind. That is the beauty of handcraft, not a flaw.
