The same coffee wash as the deep bowl, on a form with almost no depth. At 35 cm across and 3 cm high it is a plate in the flattest sense — a surface to arrange things on rather than a vessel to fill. The pigment pools slightly toward the rim where the grain opens up, which is why the edge reads darker than the centre on most pieces. Good under a candle group, a stack of bread, or on a wall shelf doing nothing in particular.
