Raw mango wood with the coatings left off entirely. The bark texture survives on the lower body and the grain stays open, so you can read the tree in it — where it grew fast, where it slowed. Shallow at 5 cm and 27 across, this is a plate for dry things: fruit, bread, a set of keys by the door. Because there is no stain to even it out, colour varies more between pieces here than on anything finished, and two plates from the same batch can sit a shade apart.
