A round jar with a band of the tree's outer surface left around its middle. Above and below it the mango wood is smooth and pale; the live edge in between is dark, rough and uneven, and the line where the two meet wanders rather than running level. The domed lid is topped with a ribbed ceramic knob, made in white, orange, red or blue.

Every piece is made by hand, so no two are exactly alike. Yours will follow the design you see here, with small differences in shape, colour and texture that make it one of a kind. That is the beauty of handcraft, not a flaw.
