Marbled Seed-Pod Sculpture

Part pod, part teardrop, with deep lengthwise lobes that curve in towards a pointed tip; from that tip a pale, curved stem rises out at an angle. The marbling runs sand and white along the lobes, with fine pale speckles in places. Treat it as a sculpture first: one object, standing on its own on a shelf or console, where its lean can be seen clearly.
