A long oval plate at 41 by 16 cm and only 3 deep, finished plain. The narrow form suits a table where width is short — down the centre of a small dining table, along a shelf, beside a sink. Sanded smooth and left unsealed, so the figure runs the full length uninterrupted; on an oval this elongated the grain tends to read as stripes rather than as swirl. Tone varies noticeably between pieces because nothing has been added to even it out.

No two pieces are ever the same — and that's the point. Every tree yields its own colour, grain, and character, meaning the piece you receive may vary slightly in tone or form from the image shown. These differences are not imperfections. They are proof that a craftsman's hands shaped real wood from a real tree — and that your piece exists nowhere else on earth.
