Wave-Carved Ovoid Vase

Wavering grooves, deep and close together, run from the mouth down to the foot without ever quite running parallel, so the surface looks like sand after the tide has gone out. The body is a full ovoid with a broad shoulder and a small, plain opening. Left natural and pale, it wants light from the side, where the grooves throw long shadows and the whole vase seems to move.
