Wide Serving Plate

A long serving plate at 45 by 20 cm with 8 cm of depth, which is more than a plate usually gets and makes it useful for things that would slide off something flatter. Left unstained, so the whole length of the grain is visible end to end; on a piece this long the figure has room to actually go somewhere. It is a board for a shared table — bread, cheese, grilled vegetables — and it is wide enough to look deliberate sitting empty on a counter.
