No carving, no stain, no lacquer. The bowl is turned, sanded to a close finish and left there — which means the grain has nowhere to hide, and every colour shift running through it came out of the tree. A middle size at 29 by 22 cm, and the most useful one: deep enough for fruit or salad, shallow enough to leave out empty without it looking like it is waiting for something. Because there is no stain evening things out, tone varies more here than on anything else.

No two pieces are ever the same — and that's the point. Every tree yields its own colour, grain, and character, meaning the piece you receive may vary slightly in tone or form from the image shown. These differences are not imperfections. They are proof that a craftsman's hands shaped real wood from a real tree — and that your piece exists nowhere else on earth.
